Brian Baxter

Brian Baxter has, over the last 35 years or so, firmly established himself as one of New Zealand's most sought after artists in the field of landscape, still life and flower paintings.

Until 1973 he ran his own signwriting business in Blenheim, but since then has painted professionally, winning the prestigious Kelliher prize for landscapes in 1977.

Brian has exhibited in all New Zealand main centres as well as in Adelaide and Washington D.C.

He works mainly in oils in a "traditional representational" style, with occasional excursions into watercolours or acrylics, and his works in all three median hang in many countries throughout the world.
